Pastor Jackie Vogele started his ministry in 1982 as assistant pastor at Webb City Church of God in Webb City, OK. In 1991 he and his family moved to Arkansas City to take up the pastorate at New Hope Assembly. He has preached at revivals, camp meetings, rallies, cowboy churches, and services. Jackie is whole-hearted when it comes to teaching God's Word. From the time he began teaching Sunday School until today, he's always enjoyed sharing the Word of God.
All his life Jackie's been a cowboy at heart. Having grown up on a farm and worked on many cattle ranches most his life, he can drive cattle with the best of 'em. As a young boy he started riding bulls on the weekend. You'll find his name listed in the Cowboy Hall of Fame for his skill of bull riding. However, his mother, Ruby Vogele, made sure he was in church every single Sunday. His parents, Gene and Ruby, brought him up and his 5 siblings with the instruction of God's Word.
In 1978 Jackie married his wife, Debbie. They have three sons, Bradley, Kevin and Samuel. All of which are involved with ministry. Jackie and Debbie share the pastorate responsibilities when it comes to counseling and care. They both have a heart for people and love to serve in every way.
Jackie has retired of bull riding but still continues to enjoy God's outdoors with horse riding and fence building. He's been mending and building fences for almost 15 years. It's a reflection of his dedication to see hearts mended in Christ.
Jackie has taken many missions trips to Mexico where he's assisted in building projects for new churches and other outreach programs to the Mexican people. He's also worked as part of the Nehemiah Crew, a group of volunteers who help build churches in the USA and Mexico. Jackie has also traveled to Israel to tour the Holy Land in the early 1990's. He currently oversees the upkeep of our beautiful COGAF Campgrounds in Stilwell, OK. He also serves on Presbytery Board of The Church of God of the Apostolic Faith, the affiliate movement of New Hope Assembly. |
